youth ministry

Welcome to Shepherd of the Hills' Youth Ministry.

We currently have 7th through 12th graders attend our Wednesday Youth Group! We study the Bible as well as having a fellowship and game time. Our gatherings happen at 7pm every Wednesday in-person. (Currently on Break)

On Sundays, we are doing our O2 Sunday morning gatherings in-person, where we dive deep into studying God's word in a unique and refreshing way. 02 gatherings happen at 9:30am every Sunday for all 8th through 12th graders.

Also, offered on Sundays in person is what we call Confirmation Class. Our Confirmation Class is a time to study about what "Lutherans" believe (catechism) and dive deeper into topical conversations. Starting Sep 10th, our Confirmation Class is meeting on Sundays at 9:30am in room 6 and is open to 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders.

If you have any questions or want more info please email Sarah Schaefer: children@soth.org

children's ministry

 - Room 2 from 2yrs - 5yrs

- Rooms 3 for 6yrs - 11yrs

If you have any questions or want more info please email Sarah Schaefer: children@soth.org

Quilting ministry

This is a ladies group dedicated to not only making beautiful quilts but also to raising awareness of those in need. Therefore, if you have a love of sewing or even tying knots, come join the ladies on Fridays at 9am in Room 10.

All proceeds benefit the work of Lutheran World Relief, and many of their quilts are donated to local hospitals serving veterans and other under served communities.

Please contact Gabbi Kurth at the church office for more information

facilities & Fellowship Care

Shepherd of the Hills is a ministry within itself.

We have buildings and lawns that need to be tended, and we also have gatherings and parties (hopefully again soon) that need to be hosted by the church. This is where our Fellowship Ministry and our Facilities Volunteer Team come into play.

If you are interested in the fellowship ministry please contact Gabbi Kurth

If you are interested in the facilities team please contact Brian Stranahan

Chinese Ministry

Our Chinese Ministry is lead by Pastor Harry and they have services at 12:00pm & 5:30pm on Sundays (Both services are spoken in Mandarin). They are a wonderful community to become apart of so ff you would like to contact Pastor Harry, please email him at

hwang@soth.org or call the front office for more info!

If you'd like more information about these outreach ministries, please contact Gabbi Kurth or Bree Noble

Prayer ministry

We believe in the power of prayer here at Shepherd of the Hills. We have a few, faithful individuals who gather together in-person still to pray over all the prayer requests. We also have a "prayer vine" that is emailed to several families in the congregation who are dedicated to praying for all those prayer requests.

If you'd like to become a prayer warrior (in-person prayer person) please contact Les Schaefer in the church office.
