Brandon Spalding - chair

Brandon is currently the Vice Chair of the Congregation, and has been part of Shepherd of the Hills family for many years. As an educator, family man, avid golfer, and runner with African cheetahs, he looks at the Chair position as another challenge and joy to be a part of in his life.
Jamie Beeson -Vice chair

Jamie Beeson, married 19 years to Chris Beeson. Son Joey 15, daughter Kylee 14. Attending Shepherd of the Hills for about 6 years. I am currently a Substitute Teacher for a few districts as well as running the family LLC. Taxi for my favorite athletes. Prior experience, 2 different positions on the school PTA for 6 years, 2 different positions on the board of a nonprofit organization in LA for 10 years. Most importantly Love the Lord!
Tom Parslow - treasurer

Currently on the Board of Directors for the past four years here at SOTH (as an at-large member, briefly as Vice Chair, and currently as Treasurer). 16 years as a high school computer science teacher (currently at Los Osos High School). Currently reside in Fontana with wife Jackie and our two 12-year old children (Byron and Juliana).
Marlene Baughman - secretary

I am Marlene Baughman, wife of Ernie Baughman, mother of 3 sons, and grandmother of 3 grandkids. I was born in Nebraska, attended Concordia Teachers College in Nebraska, and received my degree in elementary education from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. I am retired now after teaching in Lutheran schools for 33 years in Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Washington, and California. I have been a member of Shepherd of the Hills for about 22 years and have served on the Board of Directors for 6 years in various capacities. I welcome the opportunity to continue to serve you and our Lord for another term.
Brian Stranahan - Trustee

Brian has been a member at Shepherd of the Hills for many years. He currently works at Matco Tools School and Student Specialist. He does visits and presents the Matco Student Program to Auto, Aviation, Marine and Truck, schools and students; in High Schools and Colleges in California, Arizona and Nevada.
Sue Alaniz - at Large member

Sue Alaniz has been a member of SOTH since 1989. She & her husband regularly attend 7:45 services, Wed. & Thurs. evening Bible Studies, and Tues. a.m. Women’s Bible Study.
Sue served on the Board of Directors as Member at Large for the 2018-2020 term.
Sue is currently retired, but worked 41 years in education as a teacher, Asst. Principal, and Principal.
Sue loves God, loves SOTH, and loves our pastors and staff. She hopes to serve on the Board again to help implement Pastors’ Love & Sent Mission 2020.
Denise ufkes - at large member

I joined SOTH in 2008 with my daughters. I have enjoyed serving here over the years by playing the piano, singing in the choir, and assisting with Confirmation classes. I am a widow. I have three married daughters and one grandson. I work as a computer programmer for Loma Linda University. When I am not busy doting on my grandbaby, I enjoy reading, quilting and gardening.

Dick Holk

A SOTH member since 1990, Dick has served as our congregation’s chair, twice as an elder, lay leader, building fund chair, choir member, drama director, altar guild member, and trustee. He also has served on two Pacific Southwest District convention committees and as a member of the district’s Committee on Constitutions. Diana and he have been married for almost 51 years. They have two children, three grandchildren, and (soon) a great granddaughter.
Jonathan Howard

I have been a member of SOTH for the past 10 years, I've had the pleasure of serving on the Elder Board for the past 8 years and Head Elder for the past 2 years. I am a lifelong LCMS church member and currently work at Concordia University Irvine as a development staff member.
Craig Eaker

Craig Eaker - Hello, My name is Craig Eaker and I have been a member of SOTH for about 15 years. During this tenure, I have served on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer and Secretary.
Charles "chuck" rose

Chuck is 71 years old, lives on 6TH Street (Near Euclid) in Ontario, CA and has lived in the Upland/Rancho Cucamonga area since 1976. He is married to Christine Rose (for 27 years) and has 3 children: Nathan Rose, Jodi Twombly and Alexis Rose; and 5 grandchildren: Katlyn and Rebecca Twombly, Penelope and Kit Rose and Wyatt Rose. Chuck was baptized in a Congregational church at 18 months and began to follow Jesus in earnest in 1971. He has been a Lutheran since 1975 and served the Lord Jesus as an Elder at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hacienda Heights, CA, before joining Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. He has worked as a pastor, school psychologist and psychotherapist. He is currently retired from school psychology and sees patients in his psychotherapy office two days per week. He specializes as a Christian therapist and has a general practice seeing individuals, couples, families and adolescents. His hobbies include playing guitar, mandolin and harmonica; and hiking.
